ECLA’s main practice area is EU antitrust law. Its specific capabilities include: EU merger notifications; ascertainment and management of multi-jurisdictional filings; opposition to mergers; cartel defense; representation of complainants and respondents in abuse of dominance investigations; and antitrust compliance training and counseling.
DATA PRIVACY
In 2018, ECLA was approached by numerous hedge funds seeking to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In response to this demand, ECLA began providing GDPR compliance services, specifically: organizing and managing compliance audits, drafting data privacy policies and advising on data transfers to non-EU countries. ECLA’s many years of antitrust compliance experience are a valuable asset for the achievement of common sense GDPR solutions.
